Last Saturday, a group of Jordan’s friends represented the Jordan Santiago iCare Foundation at the annual Hope Starts Here 5K. This event was created to honor families impacted by organ, eye, and tissue donation while raising support for Southwest Transplant Alliance’s programs.
The TV channel interviewed Ernest Wright – the man who received Jordan`s heart – and the Santiagos. Andrew and Heather had the opportunity to hear their son’s heart beating in Ernest’s chest.
On April 1st, 2022 the Santiagos attended a special event at Baylor Scott & White in Dallas as the hospital kicked off National Donate Life Month by honoring Jordan Santiago. The family raised a ‘Donate Life’ flag, met some of the organ recipients and some of the hospital staff who took care of Jordan.
Southwest Transplant Alliance (STA) shared how Jordan became a donor hero in their newsletter.
On October 16, 2021, Jordan’s picture and handprint were featured on Gase’s car at the Texas Motor Speedway.
