The 2nd Santi Strong 5K was amazing – and cold!

About the Event

Held in memory of Jordan Santiago, our 2nd Santi Strong 5K run/walk took place on November 19, 2022, through the trails of Bear Creek Park in Keller, TX. We had a great turnout of about 200+ people who brave the freezing cold to come out to support the race and participate!

Before the run/walk, Andrew and Heather Santiago welcomed the participants and volunteers and one of their friends, Randy Tuber, said an opening prayer. We also had a Southwest Transplant Alliance representative, Kelli Jame address the participants. The opening ceremony ended with the national anthem being sung by Dalana Barsanti.

The 5K event was very successful, and we are grateful for each individual and organization that made it possible. All the proceeds will go to support our Foundation`s programs.

Our Volunteers

This event was only made possible because of an amazing team of volunteers who worked tirelessly to organize everything. They showed up very early in the morning and, because of the large number of people serving, setup was easy and efficient.

We had about 30 volunteers from Keller High School DECA who made signs and cheered on the runners/walkers along the race trail.

Thank you very much to everyone who made the Santi Strong 5K a success! We couldn’t have asked for a better turnout.

Gathering at Keller Tavern

After the event, the majority of the runners came to show their support at Keller Tavern. Keller Tavern did an amazing job receiving us and 10% of the proceeds of what they sold that day between 10 AM and 2 PM was donated to our Foundation.

We appreciate their generosity!

A concurrent event in Toronto, Canada

Some relatives and friends of Jordan from Canada participated this year by running/walking 5K in their city.

Thank you again to everyone who was a part of this event. We are already looking forward to next year!
